He was responsible for the creation of NFL Red Zone, Red Zone Channel, the launch of DirecTV on Demand, The 101 Network, NASCAR HotPass, and in 2006 he formed the Company’s first in-house advertising sales team. More recently he took on new responsibilities by leading the DirecTV Sports Networks business unit comprised of regional sports networks in Seattle, Denver and Pittsburgh.

Eisuke Tsuyuzaki directs Panasonic’s efforts in technical standards-making and corporate development, including strategic alliance building especially with the motion picture studios and content creators. Previously, he served as managing director of Panasonic Hollywood Laboratory and concurrently as Vice President, Corporate Development of Panasonic R&D Company of America since February 2005.  In these positions Mr. Tsuyuzaki oversaw research and development including technology standardization operations of the Hollywood Laboratory, directed Panasonic’s Blu-ray Disc and Full HD 3D format promotion in North America and acted as the principal liaison for Panasonic with the Hollywood creative and entertainment production communities, including directing Panasonic’s relationship with 20th Century Fox’s James Cameron’s AVATAR.

Buzz Hays is the Chief Instructor for the Sony 3D Technology Center, dedicated to the creation of good 3D across movies, television, games and other platforms. Hays is responsible for all curriculum development, instruction and training for a broad range of people across the entertainment industry. For the last five years, Hays has been among a few pioneers in the field of 3D production. As a Senior Producer, 3D Stereoscopic Feature Films for Sony Pictures Imageworks, Hays was responsible for overseeing the adaptation of standard release feature films into three-dimensional stereoscopic versions for the IMAX 3D and Real D platforms. Hays’ work included adapting Robert Zemeckis’ BEOWULF. Previous Imageworks projects include the Imagemotion performance-capture animated film MONSTER HOUSE as well as the first CG feature from Sony Pictures Animation, OPEN SEASON.

Vince Harradine is currently the Director of Systems Engineering for Milpitas, CA-based Sigma Designs, Inc. He has been key to the design, product development and systemization of Sigma’s VXP technology – from silicon to hands-on customer support. Working out of Sigma’s Canada office, Vince leads the company’s 3D product development and represents Sigma in several 3D standards groups. He is a specialist in video, video processing and video systems design. He is also an experienced hardware and software engineer and R&D manager. Over a 21-year period, Vince held various positions with Sony Broadcast & Professional Research Labs in the UK. He was intimately involved in the research, design and development of many key SDTV and HDTV technologies for the Broadcast & Professional market. His involvement ranged from motion compensated standards conversion to HD post production switchers. He was part of the original Sony design team responsible for the development of the world’s first full bandwidth component digital video tape recorder (D-1 format), for which Sony received an Emmy Award. Vince holds more than 10 patents in the area of video and video processing and is dubbed Sigma Designs’ “Golden Eyes.”

ROB HUMMEL is the CEO of Prime Focus Post Production, North America.  He began his career as the director of production services for the professional film division of Technicolor Laboratories,.  While at Technicolor, he handled the dailies and post production for Disney’s 3D “Capt.EO.”  Hummel worked for Douglas Trumbull’s visual effects company during the making of Blade Runner (1982) and oversaw post-production work on Tron (1982).  A former president of DALSA Digital Cinema LA, Hummel has also served as senior vice president of production technology at Warner Bros., where he oversaw digital post-production (mastering films for digital cinema, HDTV, DVD, etc.) and digital restoration work on such classics as Gone with the Wind (1939) and The Wizard of Oz (1939).  He previously worked in post-production, animation and Imagineering at Walt Disney Studios, where he was involved with the 3D “Honey I Shrunk the Audience.”  He headed animation technology at DreamWorks, and helped launch digital cinema units at Technicolor and Sony.  Hummel currently serves on the Academy’s Scientific and Technical Awards Committee.  He is also an associate member of the American Society of Cinematographers and was the editor of the 8th edition of the American Cinematographer Manual.

More recently, Bernie handled producing chores on the IMAX 3D production of James

While the Director of Post Production at Lorimar, he pioneered many state of the art post production techniques used today including the use of electronic non
linear systems, CGI effects, and 3 perf 35mm for production. Recently he created a 360 degree live action camera system for a live action simulator for the U.S. Army. He is currently the COO and Executive in Charge of Production for StereoScope Entertainment, where he is producing feature films in 3D as well as 3D shows for Discovery.

Under Rubeys' leadership, Inconcert3D is the first in its industry to shoot leading music events such as Austin City Limits Music Festival, Lollapalooza in Chicago, All Points West , Mile High Music Festival and others in High definition 3D for Cinema, mobile and web distribution. In this role he is responsible for Motorola’s professional MPEG-2/4 digital video distribution networks for satellite programmers and headend operators. Schaffer has over 19 years of expertise and experience in the broadcast and video compression industry. Prior to joining Motorola, Schaffer worked at TANDBERG Television as a Sr. System Engineering Manager and over has ten years of experience in MPEG-2 receiver development and video compression research from working at NDS and Sony Electronics of America. He holds a Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering from the University of Texas in Austin.
